Our Process
Arrive & Set Up
- Tools are unloaded and our hoist ladder is set up safely and strategically.
- All damageable property, (hot tub, swimming pool, interlocking brick, air conditioner, vehicles, etc.) is to be protected with the use of tarping, plywood, etc.
Stripping & Preparation
- The old shingles are removed and thrown into a garbage bin for disposal.
- The open roof is prepared for new shingles and the eavestroughs are cleaned.
- The roof trusses are inspected for damaged or rotten wood and replaced if necessary.
- Tools are set up and material is lifted onto the roof for installation.
Ice & Water Shield,
Underlayment & Shingling
- A high-quality peel and stick membrane is applied to the bottom 3 feet of the roof to help prevent leaks that may result from ice damming. It may also be applied to other vulnerable areas such as valleys, chimneys, skylights, etc.
- If necessary, a synthetic underlayment is installed above the ice shield on the remainder of the exposed roof.
- Desired shingles with manufacturer’s extended warranty and Over The Top’s 12-year workmanship warranty are then installed.
Flashing & Venting
- Install or repair existing chimney and wall flashing.
- Install and seal roof vents.
Clean Up
- Roof is completely cleared off and eavestroughs are cleaned a second time.
- All remaining garbage and debris are cleaned from the roof and ground.
- Entire perimeter of the house and driveway is thoroughly swept and magnet checked, ensuring no debris or nails are left behind.
- Outdoor furniture that may have been moved during the preparation process is put back in place, leaving your property exactly as we found it.
